Automation Engineer Electroplating Plant

As an Automation Engineer at KIE, you will play a crucial role in supporting and optimizing the operations of the Automatic Electroplating Plant. Your primary responsibilities will involve developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting PLC/SCADA-based automation systems to ensure seamless production processes and minimal downtime. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and modify PLC programs, with a focus on Siemens PLCs, for electroplating automation processes. - Develop and maintain SCADA systems to monitor and control plant operations effectively. - Perform electrical wiring and panel building for control systems and machinery. - Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and automation issues to minimize downtime. - Ensure the correct operation of control systems and integrate new equipment as required. - Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to optimize cycle times and enhance plant efficiency. - Conduct preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems. - Maintain documentation related to PLC logic, SCADA screens, and electrical circuits. - Provide training and guidance to operators or technicians on the proper use of automated systems. - Uphold safety and compliance standards for electrical systems and controls. Required Skills and Qualifications: - Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Automation Engineering. - Strong experience with Siemens PLCs, particularly S7-300/400/1200/1500 series. - Proficiency in PLC Programming, including Ladder Logic and Function Block Diagram. - Hands-on experience with SCADA systems such as WinCC, Wonderware, or similar. - Deep knowledge of electrical wiring, panel design, and instrumentation. - Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in electrical and automation systems. - Experience in industrial automation within surface finishing or plating processes is advantageous. Preferred Experience: - 3-7 years of experience in a manufacturing or surface finishing environment. - Previous involvement in setting up or maintaining an automatic electroplating line is highly desirable.
