Automation Engineer

You will be working as an Automation Test Engineer at Dark Matter Technologies, a company leading the tech-driven revolution in loan origination. Your role will involve collaborating with the Information Technology PPE3 Testing team to provide various Software Testing Services. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and upgrading Manual or Automated test scripts for Business Intelligence applications, utilities, and data sets. Additionally, you will write Postman and Playwright automated tests and perform usability testing for system performance, reliability, scalability, and security. Your daily tasks will include controlling and managing your test activities, providing internal quality assurance, and offering technical guidance throughout the development process. You will work closely with the test lead to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies. Furthermore, you will organize and maintain the test script library and undertake other related duties as assigned. To excel in this role, you should possess knowledge of software testing methods, tools, and technology, as well as quality management methods. Proficiency in writing complex database queries for data validation and troubleshooting is essential. You should also have expertise in automation tools and principles, with experience in languages like C#, Selenium, Playwright, and API/Postman. Familiarity with Visual Studio, Git, and Azure DevOps is preferred. Your strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills will be crucial in this role, along with the ability to work in an agile development environment. Effective communication, both verbally and in writing, is important to convey testing activities and findings.
