About the Role

Automation Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.
  
• Build and maintain robust automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, RestAssured).
  
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  
• Identify, document, and track defects; collaborate with development teams for resolution.
  
• Analyze test results and provide detailed reports.
  
• Participate in requirement analysis, sprint planning, and design discussions.
  
• Enhance existing automation frameworks to improve coverage and performance.
  
• Perform root-cause analysis for automation failures.
  
• Ensure tests comply with software QA standards and best practices.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  
• Strong experience with automation tools such as:
  

• Web:

  Selenium / Cypress / Playwright

• API:

  Postman / RestAssured / Karate

• Mobile:

  Appium (optional)
• Proficiency in programming languages such as

  Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or C#

  .
• Experience working with test frameworks:

  TestNG, JUnit, PyTest, Mocha, Jest

  , etc.
• Understanding of CI/CD tools (

  Jenkins, GitLab, Azure

  , etc.).
• Working knowledge of version control systems (

  ).
• Solid understanding of software testing concepts (STLC, defect life cycle, test design).
  
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  

Preferred/Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling)
  
• Knowledge of BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Behave)
  
• Experience in cloud-based testing (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs)
  
• Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  
• Understanding of databases and SQL
