JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical AutoCAD Draftsman to join our design and engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for projects, working from specifications and calculations provided by engineers, architects, or designers. These drawings will serve as the foundation for construction, manufacturing, or installation of various components and systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements and industry standards. You must have a strong understanding of drafting principles, AutoCAD and Revit software, and design standards, with the ability to create both 2D and 3D representations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop 2D mechanical drawings and 3D drawings of Wall Panels, Wall Patterns, Ceiling Baffles & Partitions using AutoCAD.
• Create detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings, including dimensions, tolerances, materials, fittings, and hardware specifications.
• Work closely with design, production, and engineering teams to finalize product layouts and resolve any structural or functional issues.
• Ensure drawings comply with standard manufacturing practices, Acoustic Panel norms, and company quality standards.
• Optimize designs for production efficiency, ease of assembly, and material utilization.
• Update drawings based on client or internal team feedback and maintain proper revision control.
• Coordinate with CNC and Production teams by providing accurate and machine-ready files.
• Conduct site measurements and prepare as-built drawings when required.
• Experience in working with CNC and other automated manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of BOM (Bill of Materials) preparation and material take-offs.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines with high attention to detail.

REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Skills:

• Technical Skills

  : AutoCAD Proficiency, 2D Drafting, 3D Modeling, Additional Software Skills (Revit, Sketchup Other CAD software, rendering tools), Technical Drawing Standards, Blueprint Reading, Drawing Specifications, Revisions Management.

• Industry Knowledge:

  Construction and Engineering, Construction Methods, Design Principles, Architectural Design.

• Soft Skills:

  Attention to Detail, Accuracy, Error Checking, Communication Skills, Collaboration, Documentation, Troubleshooting, Time Management, Adaptability.

• Additional Skills:

  Field Experience (Site Measurements, Field Coordination), Project Management, Presentation Skills (Visual communication).

Qualification and Experience:

• Diploma or degree in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• 6 - 8 years of proven experience into AutoCAD, Sketch up or 3Ds max.
• Strong understanding of drafting principles, engineering terminology, and construction processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and precision in creating technical drawings.
• Ability to interpret and apply architectural and engineering specifications.
• Field Experience: Familiarity with on-site measurements and data collection is a plus.
