AutoCAD Designer

An AutoCAD Designer with Firefighter position involves creating detailed 2D and 3D designs for fire protection systems using software like AutoCAD and Revit, while also ensuring designs comply with relevant fire safety codes, such as NFPA and IS standards, and conducting hydraulic calculations to ensure proper system function. Key responsibilities include drafting layouts, coordinating with other design disciplines, performing material take-offs for Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and maintaining documentation for fire sprinkler systems, hydrant systems, and fire suppression systems. The role typically requires a background in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, proficiency in AutoCAD, and familiarity with fire protection system components and relevant codes.

• Design and Drafting:Prepare 2D/3D layouts, schematics, and detailed drawings for fire protection systems, including sprinkler, hydrant, and suppression systems.
• Hydraulic Calculations:Perform calculations to determine proper pipe sizing, flow, and pressure for fire protection systems.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) teams to integrate fire systems with other building services and avoid clashes.
• Generate and maintain accurate project documentation, including Bills of Quantities (BOQ), material take-offs, and as-built drawings.
• Quality Control:Review designs for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with project specifications and client requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Software Proficiency:Strong command of AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit and other drafting software is often preferred.
• Technical Knowledge:Understanding of fire protection system components (sprinklers, hydrants, alarms, suppression systems) and design principles.
• Code Familiarity:Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (NFPA, NBC, IS codes) is essential.
• Collaboration:Ability to work effectively with project teams, clients, and other consultants.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
