This role requires a detail-oriented, organized, and experienced professional who can ensure accurate and timely compensation, maintain compliance with all relevant labour laws, and support the broader HR functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Indian payroll regulations, a knack for problem-solving, and a commitment to confidentiality. Key Responsibilities 1. Payroll Management: Manage the full cycle of payroll processing for all employees, including new hires, terminations, leaves, and salary changes. Calculate and process employee salaries, wages, bonuses, and other reimbursements accurately and on time. Verify and process attendance data, leave records, and overtime hours. Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including but not limited to Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), Professional Tax (PT), and TDS (Tax Deducted at Source). Generate and distribute payslips and Form 16s to employees. Reconcile payroll data with general ledger accounts and prepare payroll reports for management. Handle and resolve employee queries related to salary, deductions, and other payroll matters. 2. Statutory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with changes in Indian labor laws, tax regulations, and payroll-related statutory requirements. File all statutory returns and forms (e.g., PF, ESI, TDS) accurately and within the stipulated deadlines. Required Skills and Qualifications Experience: 3-5 years of experience in HR with a primary focus on payroll management in an organization of similar scale. Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Commerce, or a related field. An MBA in HR or a relevant certification is a plus.
