Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
Provide evidence-based treatment for a range of psychiatric conditions (IPD & OPD).
Manage acute psychiatric emergencies and crisis interventions.
Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, and other clinical departments.
Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation adhering to NABH/JCI standards.
Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and ward rounds.
Plan and monitor medication management and psychotherapy interventions.
Provide family counseling and psychoeducation as required.
Support quality assurance initiatives and uphold patient safety protocols.

Preferred candidate profile

MD / DNB in Psychiatry from a recognized institution.
3+ years of post-qualification clinical experience.
Mandatory: Experience working in a NABH or JCIaccredited hospital.
Strong communication skills and a patient-centric approach.
Ability to work effectively in a clinical team environment.

Preferred Skills

Experience with psychiatric emergencies.
Familiarity with EMR systems and digital documentation.
Training or interest in psychotherapy modalities (CBT, IPT, etc.) is an added advantage.
Commitment to ethical medical practice and continuous learning.
