Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging teaching using appropriate learning technologies and media.
  • Adopt a learner-centered approach to teaching and provide ongoing academic support.
  • Develop, review, and update course materials and curriculum content in line with academic standards and industry trends.
  • Assist in the operational planning and delivery of modules and academic programs.
  • Proactively identify and resolve emerging academic or student-related issues, escalating when necessary.
  • Participate in student inductions and orientation programs, preparing relevant academic resources and support material.
  • Play an active role in the supervision and pastoral care of students, supporting both academic and personal development.
  • Provide fair, constructive, and timely feedback on student assessments.
  • Supervise student projects, dissertations, internships, and industry-based learning activities.
  • Translate professional and industry experience into the academic context to enrich student learning.
  • Engage in research and scholarly activities that inform teaching practices and contribute to academic excellence.
  • Integrate research findings into teaching and curriculum content.
  • Continuously reflect on and improve teaching practices, contributing to innovation in learning, teaching, and assessment.
  • Participate in curriculum design and development to meet the evolving needs of learners.
  • Engage in professional development activities focused on teaching, learning, and academic assessment.
  • Contribute to departmental meetings, quality assurance activities, and institutional initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master's / Doctoral degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or related discipline (as per the role)
  • Prior teaching experience in a higher education setting preferred
  • Experience in curriculum development and assessment design
  • Evidence of research or scholarly output is desirable
