Requisition Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Manager Payroll to manage end-to-end payroll operations for India through SAP HCM/SuccessFactors. The role involves ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, TDS filing, compliance with statutory requirements, reconciliation of payroll accounts, and coordination with stakeholders including HR, Finance, and statutory authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing for India employees through SAP Payroll.Ensure compliance with all statutory laws and regulations including PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Gratuity, Income Tax, and other applicable labor laws. Handle TDS calculations, filings, and returns in compliance with statutory timelines. Perform payroll reconciliations, audits, and variance analysis to ensure accuracy.
Handle payroll-related queries from employees and internal stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.Coordinate with HR, Finance, and external consultants/statutory authorities for payroll-related matters.Generate and validate payroll reports, MIS, and dashboards for management review.Manage full and final settlement calculations for exiting employees. Support annual audits, taxation, and year-end activities (Form 16, investment declarations, etc.).
Drive process improvements and system enhancements within SAP payroll module.Ensure confidentiality and integrity of employee payroll data.
Qualifications & Skills: Postgraduate in Commerce/Finance/HR or related discipline.
5-6 years of experience in India Payroll within an IT company, with hands-on expertise in SAP Payroll (HCM/SuccessFactors).
Strong knowledge of Indian payroll regulations, TDS filing, and statutory compliance.Proficiency in Excel and payroll reporting.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with strong attention to detail.Preferred:Experience in multinational/global payroll operations.
Exposure to HRMS and SAP integration with finance systems.
Roles and Responsibilities :
Payroll Management. Process end-to-end monthly payroll for all India employees through SAP Payroll (HCM/SuccessFactors).Ensure payroll accuracy and adherence to timelines.
Compliance & Statutory Management Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws and regulations (PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Gratuity, Bonus, etc.).
Handle TDS computation, filing, and statutory returns within deadlines.Prepare and issue Form 16 and other tax-related documentation.
Audit & Reconciliation: Conduct monthly payroll reconciliations and variance analysis.Coordinate with internal and external auditors for payroll-related audits.
Maintain proper documentation for statutory inspections.Employee SupportResolve payroll-related queries from employees within defined SLAs.Manage full & final settlements including leave encashment, gratuity, and other payouts.
Reporting & Analysis : Generate payroll MIS, dashboards, and compliance reports for management.Provide insights on cost analysis, manpower budget, and payroll forecasting.System & Process Improvement. Drive enhancements and automation in SAP Payroll for efficiency.
Ensure integration of payroll with HR and Finance systems.
Implement best practices and process improvements.
Stakeholder Collaboration Coordinate with HR, Finance, Tax consultants, and statutory bodies.
