Associate Technical Architect

Experience:

Must Have Skills

1. Database (SQL Server / Oracle / MySQL / Azure SQL DB / Cosmos DB etc.)
2. Data Warehouse (Azure Synapse Analytics, Snowflake, etc.)
3. ETL tools (two or more of Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Pipelines, Event Hub, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Functions, etc.)
4. Experience in Cloud platforms – 

   Microsoft Azure

5. Python, PySpark, UNIX shell scripting, Project & resource management
6. SVN, GIT, JIRA, Automation workflow (Azure Data Factory orchestration, Apache Airflow, Tidal, Tivoli, or similar)

Good to Have Skills

1. UNIX shell scripting, Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Familiarity with NoSQL such as MongoDB, etc.
2. ETL tools (Databricks / Talend / Informatica IICS / Cloud Data Fusion / DBT / Azure Data Factory Advanced / Synapse Pipelines).
3. Experience in other cloud platforms – AWS / GCP.
4. Client-facing skills.

Role Description

Azure data architecture and solution design

Azure-based data solutions

Key Responsibilities

• Ability to design simple to medium data solutions for clients using 

  Azure cloud architecture

  .
• Strong understanding of DW, data marts, data modelling, data structures, databases, and data ingestion/transformation.
• Proficient in ETL as well as database skills.
• Strong understanding of relational and non-relational databases (SQL Server, Azure Cosmos DB, etc.).
• Leadership and communication skills for collaboration with local/global teams.
• Translate technical requirements into Azure Data Factory / SQL / PySpark code.
• Document project architecture and create low-to-high level design documents.
• Create technical documents for ETL and SQL developments using Visio, PowerPoint, and MS Office Suite.
• Work with Project Managers, Business Analysts, and DBAs to implement ETL solutions.
• Perform mid-to-complex level tasks independently.
• Support clients, Data Scientists, and Analytical Consultants working on data-driven solutions.
• Manage 1–2 projects with 2–3 team members.
• Code management (review, deployment, governance).
• Collaborate with QA/Testing team to drive defect reduction.
• Ensure alignment with Architecture standards & principles.
• Perform Proof of Concepts on Azure platforms / validate proposed solutions.
• Enforce disciplined development standards and recovery procedures.
• Work across Agile/Waterfall methodologies.
• Manage SQL & ETL workloads across the team.
• Work in overlap with US teams (typically 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST).

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science / Engineering

Certifications (Preferred)

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
• Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional

GMT (UK Shift): 2 PM – 11 PM
