Associate Teacher - Art

As a teacher at iTeach Schools, you play a crucial role in providing an excellent education to students from low-income communities in Pune and Navi Mumbai. Your responsibilities are divided into three key areas: Key Responsibilities: - Teaching your subject (60% time): - Teach one or two subjects within your expertise to your class - Conduct regular tests and assessments to monitor learning progress and provide feedback to students - Foster a positive and strong school culture focused on learning and joy - Collaborate with parents through regular meetings to ensure their active involvement - Mentoring students (20% time): - Mentor approximately 15-20 students throughout the year - Develop strategies to help students cultivate strong study habits, maintain high attendance, and strive for excellence - Share these plans with all teachers to create a supportive ecosystem - Helping with school projects (20% time): - Collaborate with Senior Teachers on implementing school projects like Hobby Clubs, Career Awareness, Annual Day, Sports Day, etc - Utilize these opportunities to enhance your leadership skills and mentor new teachers Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree with a strong academic and holistic performance - Preferred: Art Teacher Diploma (ATD) / Bachelor of Fine Art (BFA) / GD Arts - Preferred: 1-2 years of teaching experience in a school setting About iTeach Schools: iTeach was established in 2015 with a mission to challenge the status quo of education for students in low-income communities.
