Associate Software Engineer

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer I with a strong background in Python development. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with 1-3 years of experience who are passionate about writing clean, efficient, and scalable code. As a Software Engineer I at Tekion, you will be working on impactful products that help transform the automotive industry. Experience with Golang is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications and services.
• Write we'll-tested, maintainable code with a focus on scalability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and implement solutions.
• Assist in troubleshooting and debugging complex issues across multiple systems.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure the best practices are being followe'd.
• Work in an Agile environment, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Continuously learn and stay up to date with new technologies and best practices.
• Contribute to the design and architecture of new features and product enhancements.
• If experienced in Golang, assist in integrating Python-based systems with Golang-based services.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in software development, with a focus on

  Python

• Strong proficiency in Python programming, including experience with frameworks like Flask, Django, or FastAPI.
• Familiarity with relational

  databases

  (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc) and ORM frameworks.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with

  Golang

• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of

  cloud

  platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience with
