Associate Publication Selection Specialist

As an Assistant Editor / Associate Publication Selection Specialist with our Web of Science editorial team, your role will involve conducting initial reviews of scholarly journals to ensure compliance with publishing best practices. You will need to apply sound judgment and subject matter knowledge to rigorously assess publication quality, along with collecting and organizing data for evaluations. Additionally, you will be responsible for completing accurate reports on journal evaluations, communicating findings to publishers, and actively participating in team meetings. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct initial reviews of scholarly journals using predefined selection criteria - Assess publication quality with sound judgment and subject matter knowledge - Collect and organize data for evaluations - Complete accurate reports on journal evaluations - Communicate evaluation findings to publishers and be responsive to questions - Participate actively in team meetings Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent - Proficient level of English language (B2/C1) - 2+ years of general working experience - 1+ years of experience in publishing - Customer-orientation with excellent written and verbal communication skills - Meticulous attention to detail and critical appraisal skills - Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills - Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) In this role, you will report to the Assistant Editor Team Leader within our global team of more than 30 colleagues based in the USA, UK, Spain, Serbia, and India.
