Associate Project Engineer - Sales Support Specialist

Role Overview: Hitachi Energy is seeking a talented individual to join their team as a Sales Engineer at the Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC). As a Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in preparing comprehensive offers and quotations for Gas Insulated switchgear RFQ/Enquires, collaborating with the sales support team, and ensuring all proposals adhere to relevant Hitachi Energy procedures and guidelines. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare timely and comprehensive offers/quotations for Gas Insulated switchgear RFQ/Enquires. - Determine the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions. - Collaborate across the sales support team to offer solutions to country/region-specific customers. - Analyze customer needs through general market information and input from Service FES/Territory Managers. - Rationalize terms and conditions and review technical documents to identify scope of supply and prepare necessary clarifications. - Support ASMs during the offer clarification process and ensure proper follow-up. - Coordinate with multiple functions such as Design, Project Management, and SCM as part of the tendering activity. - Conduct cost analysis and lost proposal analysis to improve future offerings. - Uphold Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity in all actions. Qualifications Required: - Experience and skill in preparing and supporting the offer/quotation process. - Proficiency in sales/tendering tools. - Knowledge of Power Grid Market & System offerings. - Electrical Engineer with 1 to 3 years of professional work experience in GIS or EPC or any High voltage/medium voltage electrical product sales & tendering. - Excellent communication skills in English.
