Associate Principal Engineer, QA Automation (Cypress)

Job Description You will be responsible for Quality Assurance with a focus on Cypress test automation. Your main responsibilities will include: - Proficient in Cypress framework design, maintenance, and CI/CD integration using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps - Skilled in JavaScript/TypeScript for Cypress scripting and debugging - Proficiency in using Jira for defect tracking and Confluence for documentation - Analyzing application requirements to create test plans and test cases - Designing, developing, and executing automated tests using various programming languages - Experience in Cucumber or Specflow - Good experience in Rest Assured - Utilizing testing tools such as UFT, TOSCA, Test Complete, Katalon Studio, Appium, Coded UI, Protractor, Selenium, or other tools as required - Using testing frameworks like Junit, Nunit, TestNg, or other frameworks as necessary - Solid understanding of Agile principles and working in an Agile environment - Ensuring application quality, performance, and reliability - Identifying, reporting, troubleshooting, and debugging bugs and defects - Generating and maintaining test reports and documentation - Collaborating with the software development team and stakeholders on software quality assurance Your responsibilities will include: - Understanding project requirements and business context - Interacting with clients to identify testing scope and expectations - Preparing test plan/strategy and estimating test effort - Risk management and resolving technical risks - Designing and developing a framework for automated testing - Preparing test reports and communicating quality metrics - Participating in retrospective meetings and identifying ways to improve the testing process - Conducting application demos for stakeholders - Reviewing testing artifacts and tracking defects to closure - Triage and prioritize defects for resolution - Providing constructive feedback to team members and setting clear expectations Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field Company Description Nagarro is a Digital Product Engineering company known for building inspiring products, services, and experiences.
