Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Associate Medical Coder to join our healthcare delivery team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing clinical documents and assigning appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS codes for diagnoses and procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

Review patient medical records and accurately assign diagnosis and procedure codes using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and/or HCPCS
Ensure compliance with government regulations and company coding guidelines
Maintain confidentiality of patient health information
Meet or exceed coding productivity and accuracy benchmarks
Work closely with the coding quality team for audits and feedback
Stay updated on changes in coding guidelines and payer-specific requirement.
