Job Description

Apollo Tyres Ltd is an international tyre manufacturer and the leading tyre brand in India. The company has multiple manufacturing units in India and a unit each in The Netherlands and Hungary. The company markets its products under its two global brands Apollo and Vredestein, and its products are available in over 100 countries through a vast network of branded, exclusive and multi-product outlets. You will be joining as an Associate Manager- Prod Dev TBB at the Chennai R&D location, reporting to Imtiaz Ahmed A. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing BM activities to identify improvement opportunities, initiating development of new construction proposals based on future requirements, executing trials with new specifications, and establishing them. Additionally, you will be triggering cost-saving activities in tyre section tuning and alternate construction. Your major responsibilities will include conducting benchmark analysis, simulation study & proposing cavity design inputs for tread pattern & mould drawing preparation, conducting cost analysis, and sharing inputs for budget preparation. You will also be completing DVP as per plan & preparing for QR stages, monitoring product performance every quarter, and initiating corrective actions if required. Moreover, you will coordinate all Benchmark study, DVP & data book preparation activity in each sample submission loop, review outdoor results, discuss MFS along with the project lead for the next Iteration, and support QA for PTR & PPAP submission and approval & CSQSR deployment. Furthermore, you will be releasing design specifications, Design pack (TES & Layout) for Proto-run trials, completing DVP & preparing MSCA documents for approval and implementation of changes in plants, co-relating product failures due to design, and continuously working on the performance enhancement of released products. You will need to absorb more knowledge in the role and propose the training needs for future aspirations, device & monitor the PI plan along with the plant PI team & Project leaders. The ideal candidate for this role should possess strong presentation and communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and basic knowledge of tyre manufacturing, testing equipment & Test standard, Quality management systems (PPAP, APQP), problem-solving techniques, and tyre development process. The relevant experience required is 3 to 5 years of exposure to tyre manufacturing / vehicle testing / Quality Systems / Technical Service, with an educational qualification in Mechanical or Polymer engineering.,
