Associate Engineer

As an HW - Associate Engineer based in Ahmedabad, you will be responsible for various tasks related to hardware board designing. Your main duties will include schematic design entry based on project requirements, assisting a senior teammate in layout design review, system-level power budget analysis, board bring-up and testing following test plans and cases, independent testing, collaboration with teammates, and daily work log reporting to senior team members. Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with colleagues and managers. To excel in this role, you should possess 0.6 to 2 years of experience in hardware board designing. Familiarity with Microcontroller design including 8051 and ARM-based microcontrollers from manufacturers such as NXP, ST, TI, PIC, and Atmel is necessary. Experience in Micro-process design with ARM, DSP-based processors from NXP, TI, Qualcomm, Mediatek, and Freescale is also required. Additionally, analog design experience in Op-amp, ADC, DAC, and active-passive filter design is essential. Your expertise should extend to high-speed board design involving components like DDR2, DDR3, DDR4, eMMC, HDMI, MIPI, and Ethernet. Proficiency in peripheral interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, RS485, CAN, and SDIO is crucial. You should also have experience in Power supply design encompassing AC to DC SMSP, DC to DC converters (Buck-boost), Switchers, LDO, and Battery charger and monitoring. Knowledge of lab tools like DMM, Oscilloscope, Function generator, and Network analyzer, as well as PCB fabrication and assembly processes, will be beneficial. In terms of skills, you must be adept at schematic entry using Orcad Capture and layout design/review using Allegro. Experience in BOM cost optimization, component selection, and proficiency in schematic tools like Altium, Pads Logic, and layout tools like Altium and Pad Layout are required. Collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams comprising mechanical engineers and PCB fabricators will be a key aspect of this role.
