Assoc. Scientist - Technical Development

Your responsibilities include meeting quality, quantity, and timelines in all assigned projects. You will need to plan, organize, perform, and document scientific experiments/plant activities in collaboration with experienced team members if necessary. Seek proactive support and coaching from the Project Leader, Scientific Expert, or other team members during the process. Plan and perform scientific experiments/plant activities, and contribute to project-related scientific/technical activities with minimal guidance. Contribute to the interpretation and reporting of results. Provide efficient and robust processes for manufacturing and/or specialized facilities with adequate guidance. Document raw data, evaluate results, and propose input for designing future experiments. Optimize existing methods in the lab or plant and develop more efficient ones. Generate lab procedures, reports, instructions, and SOPs. Actively transfer procedures/instructions to pilot plant or production, including troubleshooting and process steering controls. Use professional concepts, company policies, and procedures to solve a variety of problems. Receive detailed instructions on all work. Adhere to Sandoz standards, particularly in quality, ethical, health, safety, environment, and information security. Review and verify raw data, perform procedure transfers, optimize processes, address and solve complex problems, provide solutions for deviations and unexpected results, maintain laboratory inventory, collaborate with other groups and sites, perform maintenance and qualification of instruments/equipment, and generate lab procedures under supervision. Collaborating across boundaries, operations management and execution, environmental, health and safety (EHS), laboratory equipment, manufacturing process, materials science, process simulation, and SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) skills are essential for this role.
