Job Description

Assistant Vice President - Record to Report

The position requires excellent organizational and analytical skills to handle the transaction flow and provide direction and coordinate accounting & reporting functions to ensure timely closure of period ends. The incumbent will be responsible for daily supervision and efficiency of the team. Manage and provide overall direction and guidance to deliver on operational goals within assigned area and ensure timely and accurate completion of work with excellent stakeholder management skills.

You should have experience as an Area Financial Accounting Manager and managed large sized RTR Teams (Team of at least 50+) for a meaningful period and possess excellent domain & hands on expertise in Record to Report (Fixed Assets, Intercompany, Month End process, Reconciliations, Reporting, Tax)

  • Ensure process governance including reporting and analysis to key stakeholders - communicate on a regular basis to discuss operational issues, key metrics, CTQ's (internally &/or externally)
  • Review and analyze the team's output for appropriate accounting treatment, completeness and accuracy related to general accounting
  • Understand the SOX Regulations and always ensure adherence by the teams
  • Act as point of escalation to resolve accounting and reporting related issues in a timely manner and ensure all queries are dealt with accurately and efficiently
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to systems or other processes to maximize the use of information system resources to develop comprehensive reporting models
  • Provide day-to-day management of the cross-functional team in assigning and monitoring deliverables, and motivating and leading the teams to improve performance and work product
  • Develop the team through effective performance management and monthly appraisals

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum qualifications

  • Chartered Accountant or candidate should possess a CPA or CMA certification, or an equivalent qualification, or semi-qualified, or hold a master's degree in finance field
  • Experience as an Area Financial Accounting Manager and/or working in Big 4 audit firms

Preferred qualifications

.SAP and CPM Beacon (SAP BPC) or similar applications, working knowledge

.Knowledge of IFRS as well as local GAAP and other relevant local tax & legal

.Strong command of numbers and the mechanism of how financial statements are compiled based on system driven integrated transactions and manual journals

.Strong collaboration, coordination, and networking skills
