As an Assistant Purchase & Stores Executive at CURRENT ELECTRO MECH PRIVATE LIMITED, located in Erode, Tamil Nadu, your role is crucial in supporting the Purchase & Stores Senior Executive in managing engineering material procurement, inventory control, ERP entries, and supplier coordination. Your responsibilities include: - Purchase Responsibilities: - Procuring engineering raw materials, spares, and consumables for electric motors, generators, pumps, and rotating equipment - Handling RFQ generation, price comparison, negotiations, and vendor follow-ups - Coordinating with suppliers, traders, and vendors in similar engineering industries - Preparing, releasing, and tracking Purchase Orders (POs) - Ensuring timely material delivery according to production and service requirements - Supporting cost control and supplier performance improvement initiatives - Stores & Inventory Responsibilities: - Verifying inward materials against purchase orders and delivery challans - Ensuring proper storage, labeling, identification, and FIFO practices - Issuing materials to production, service, and maintenance teams as needed - Monitoring stock levels and maintaining minimum / reorder level controls - Assisting in periodic stock verification and reconciliation - System, ERP & Documentation: - Performing ERP entries related to purchase, inward, issue, and stock movement - Maintaining purchase and stores records following company standards and ISO/5S documentation - Preparing basic reports related to stock, purchase status, and material consumption - Ensuring data accuracy and system discipline - Internal Coordination: - Coordinating with Production, Service, CRM, and Accounts teams - Supporting smooth material flow across departments - Proactively escalating shortages, delays, or mismatches Qualifications: - DEEE / DME / EEE / BE Mechanical / Production Engineering Mandatory Experience: - Minimum 3 years of experience in: - Engineering Purchase & Stores - Handling engineering materials and spares - Working with suppliers or trader shops in similar industries - Industrial or engineering service/manufacturing environment Language Requirement: - Fluent in Tamil - Working proficiency in English - Basic spoken ability in Hindi preferred Required Skills & Competencies: - Strong computer operation skills - ERP handling and basic reporting knowledge - Good communication and coordination abilities - Negotiation skills with suppliers - Ability to identify, understand, and observe engineering components - System-oriented, disciplined, and process-driven approach Reporting Structure: Reports to: Purchase & Stores Senior Executive (Lead) Salary & Benefits: - Salary: As per industry standards - Compensation based on experience, skills, and performance - Growth opportunity for long-term contributors Ideal Candidate Profile: - Experience in engineering purchase, stores, inventory, ERP, and supplier coordination - Background in electrical, mechanical, or production engineering - Hands-on exposure to motors, pumps, generators, and rotating machinery spares - Willingness to grow into higher responsibility roles in purchase & supply chain Note from Management: CURRENT ELECTRO MECH PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking responsible, system-oriented, and long-term contributors who are eager to grow with the organization and strengthen the Purchase & Stores function.
