Assistant Professor Surgical Oncology

Key Responsibilities:Clinical:

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered surgical care in the field of surgical oncology.
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and collaborate closely with medical and radiation oncologists.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and guidelines.
• Participate in call coverage as per department policy.

Teaching:

• Instruct and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in the principles and practice of surgical oncology.
• Deliver lectures, seminars, and participate in curriculum development.
• Supervise clinical training in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Research:

• Engage in clinical, translational, or basic science research in surgical oncology.
• Seek external funding and contribute to scholarly publications.
• Participate in departmental and institutional research initiatives.

Administrative:

• Serve on departmental or institutional committees as assigned.
• Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Participate in faculty development and continuous professional growth.

Required Qualifications:

• MBBS + MS/MD + MCh or DNB degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification or eligibility in General Surgery and Surgical Oncology.
• Eligible for medical licensure in [State].
