Assistant Professor for Cardiac care

The Assistant Professor in the Cardiac Care Department will contribute to the academic, clinical, and research missions of the department. This position involves teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, supervising clinical training, participating in research activities, and delivering expert patient care . The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to cardiovascular education, evidence-based practice, and collaborative healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:Teaching & Academic Duties:

• Deliver lectures, seminars, and clinical demonstrations related to cardiac care and cardiovascular sciences.
• Develop and update curriculum materials, course outlines, and assessment tools.
• Mentor and advise students in academic, clinical, and research matters.
• Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate clinical rotations and internships in cardiac care units.

Clinical Responsibilities (if applicable):

• Provide direct patient care in cardiac units and supervise students and residents.
• Participate in case discussions, diagnostic procedures, and treatment planning.
• Ensure compliance with clinical standards, protocols, and safety practices.

Research & Scholarly Activities:

• Engage in independent and collaborative research in cardiology or cardiovascular nursing/technology.
• Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences.
• Guide and support student research projects and theses.

Administrative Duties:

• Contribute to departmental meetings, curriculum development, and accreditation processes.
• Participate in faculty development programs, institutional committees, and community outreach.
• Assist in organizing academic events, conferences, and workshops related to cardiac care.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Master’s degree or Doctorate (PhD/MD/DNB/MCh) in Cardiology, Cardiovascular Nursing, Cardiac Technology.
• Relevant teaching and/or clinical experience in cardiac care.
• Demonstrated interest or experience in academic research.
