Assistant Professor- Business Analytics, IT, Computer Sciences

Role Overview

The Faculty Information Technology & Business Analytics will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, contributing to research and scholarly activities, and supporting student development through effective assessment and mentoring. The role requires strong technical expertise, analytical orientation, and the ability to bridge technology with business decision-making.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Teaching and Curriculum Development

• Design, develop, and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Information Technology and Business Analytics.
  
• Teach subjects such as Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Statistics for Management, Python/R, SQL, Machine Learning (introductory), ERP, MIS, and related areas.
  
• Demonstrate excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  
• Utilize innovative pedagogical approaches, case-based learning, simulations, and digital tools to enhance student engagement and practical understanding.
  
• Develop, update, and review course materials to reflect current industry trends, emerging technologies, and applied research.
  
• Mentor and advise students on academic performance, career pathways, certifications, internships, and projects.

2. Research and Scholarly Activities

• Conduct and publish quality research in peer-reviewed national and international journals and conferences in IT, Analytics, or allied domains.
  
• Collaborate with faculty members on interdisciplinary research projects integrating technology, analytics, and management.
  
• Seek and secure external research grants, funded projects, and industry-sponsored research opportunities.
  
• Present research outcomes at academic and professional forums.
  
• Contribute to institutional research culture and knowledge dissemination.

3. Assessment and Student Progress Monitoring

• Design and administer assessments, including examinations, analytical projects, case studies, and lab evaluations.
  
• Evaluate student learning outcomes and provide constructive, timely feedback.
  
• Track academic progress and provide one-on-one academic support to students requiring additional guidance.
  
• Ensure accurate documentation of assessments in compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements.

4. Academic and Institutional Contributions

• Participate in academic committees, accreditation activities (NBA/NAAC/AICTE/UGC), and quality assurance initiatives.
  
• Support industry interaction through guest lectures, workshops, certifications, and live projects.
  
• Contribute to curriculum innovation, academic audits, and continuous improvement processes.

Key Requirements

• Postgraduate qualification in IT, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related discipline (PhD preferred as per regulatory norms).
  
• Strong knowledge of analytics tools, programming languages, databases, and business applications.
  
• Ability to integrate real-world business problems with analytical and technological solutions.
  
• Research aptitude with publications or demonstrated potential.
  
• Student-centric approach and commitment to academic excellence.
