Job Title: Assistant Professor

Department: Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)

Location: Dr. NSAM First Grade College

Reporting To: Principal

Position Overview:

The Assistant Professor – BBA is responsible for delivering undergraduate teaching in Business Administration, engaging in academic research, and mentoring students. The role emphasizes effective teaching, innovation in pedagogy, and active participation in departmental and institutional activities.

1. Teaching & Academic Delivery

· Teach core and elective courses in Business Administration (e.g., Marketing, Finance, HR, Operations, Entrepreneurship, International Business).

· Prepare lesson plans, course materials, and case studies.

· Adopt student-centric teaching methods, digital learning tools, and interactive pedagogy.

· Conduct assessments, examinations, and provide timely feedback.

2. Student Engagement & Mentorship

· Guide students in academic projects, presentations, and internships.

· Provide academic advising, career counselling, and mentorship.

· Encourage participation in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.

3. Research & Professional Development

· Engage in research activities, publications, and paper presentations.

· Work towards publishing in UGC-listed / peer-reviewed journals.

· Participate in faculty development programs, workshops, and seminars.

4. Departmental & Institutional Support

· Support accreditation, quality assurance, and documentation processes.

· Contribute to departmental events, seminars, guest lectures, and workshops.

· Collaborate with colleagues for interdisciplinary teaching and academic initiatives.

Key Skills & Competencies:

· Strong subject knowledge in Business Administration.

· Excellent teaching, communication, and presentation skills.

· Research orientation with interest in publishing and academic growth.

· Ability to mentor and motivate students.

· Team player with willingness to contribute to institutional development.

Qualifications & Experience (as per UGC norms):

· Master’s degree in Management / Business Administration

· Ph.D. in Management / Business Administration OR enrolment in Ph.D. program (preferred but not mandatory at entry-level).

· Administrative experience is preferred.

· NET/SET qualification (mandatory as per UGC norms, unless exempted by Ph.D.).

· 8 plus years of Teaching experience at college/university level preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹65,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
