Assistant Principal Electrical Engineer

Role Overview: You will be responsible for designing electrical distribution systems for low voltage and high voltage based on international standards for projects in the Middle East, Europe, and South East Asia regions. Additionally, you will support global multi-disciplinary teams on water and wastewater projects by preparing design basis, load lists, cable schedules, single line diagrams, and more. Your expertise in P&ID, control philosophy, and system architecture will be crucial in conducting equipment sizing calculations and performing lighting calculations for various applications. Key Responsibilities: - Design electrical distribution systems for low voltage and high voltage based on international standards - Prepare design basis, load lists, cable schedules, and single line diagrams for water and wastewater projects - Conduct equipment sizing calculations for transformers, generators, HV/LV cables, and more - Utilize system studies software to model electrical systems and conduct load flow, short circuit, and protection relay setting studies - Create technical specifications and data sheets for electrical equipment - Participate in RFQ preparation, review technical offers from vendors, and evaluate bid tabulation/documentation - Collaborate with various teams and external design consultants as necessary - Contribute to conceptual report writing, construction plan preparation, and technical specification development - Experience in hazardous areas application is essential Qualifications Required: - Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university with at least 8 years of experience - Relevant experience in electrical design within a consultancy organization focusing on the water sector - Proficiency in electrical design software like Dialux and ETAP - Computer literacy in MS Office; familiarity with AutoCAD is necessary - Ability to work independently and as part of an integrated team - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Self-motivated with a keen interest in learning new skills and contributing to the team and organization Company Details: Mott MacDonald promotes equality, diversity, and inclusion in its business operations, advocating fair employment procedures and practices for equal opportunities.
