Job Description Assistant Manager (Production Planning)

Experience: 58 years Industry: Manufacturing Qualification: B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical

Key Responsibilities:

Manage Production Planning & Control (PPC) activities to ensure smooth and timely production flow.

Handle Material Planning (MPC) to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and components.

Oversee Inventory Planning & Control (IPC) to maintain optimal stock levels and avoid shortages or excess.

Execute Supply Planning (SP) for seamless coordination between production, procurement, and dispatch teams.

Prepare and monitor production schedules, including daily, weekly, and monthly plans, along with capacity planning.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as Production, Purchase, Stores, and Quality for efficient workflow.

Track production progress, identify gaps, and resolve bottlenecks to ensure timely delivery.

Implement productivity improvement initiatives and contribute to process optimization.

Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety norms, and company policies.

Key Skills Required:

Strong understanding of PPC principles including capacity planning, dispatch planning, product planning, and production scheduling.

Good knowledge of inventory management techniques and planning tools.

Strong analytical skills with a data-driven decision-making approach.

Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.

Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
