Assistant - Operations

You will be responsible for organizing the warehouse areas in Rudrapur/Pantnagar, ensuring the best and most efficient use of space. Your primary role will involve managing the day-to-day activities of warehouse staff and drivers, overseeing inventory operations, and maximizing space usage within the warehouse. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will play a key role in the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods from the warehouse. As an Assistant - Operations, you will collaborate with the Warehouse Manager in various tasks such as hiring and training new employees, scheduling shifts for efficiency, tracking attendance, and conducting physical inventory audits. You will be responsible for making inventory, indenting material as needed, and ensuring correct storage locations within the warehouse. Additionally, you will plan daily activities to achieve targets, dispatch finished goods on time, and coordinate inventory transfers between departments. To excel in this role, you should have 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in handling warehouse operations, along with a minimum Bachelor's Degree. Familiarity with warehouse management systems and SAP is required, as well as excellent organization skills, attention to detail, communication, and writing skills. Proficiency in MS Office tools such as Word and Excel is essential. You will also be expected to enforce safety policies, maintain a clean and tidy warehouse, and prepare the area for customer/regulatory audits.
