As the Utility Manager, you will have a diverse set of responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of utility systems in a pharmaceutical API manufacturing plant. Your key responsibilities will include: - Daily Operations & Work Distribution - Allocate daily work to subordinates and collect feedback on task completion. - Review and monitor daily utility operation activities and address any issues. - Ensure efficient manpower management as per job planning. - Preventive Maintenance & Documentation - Maintain all records of Preventive Maintenance (PM) and execute them in AIMS (Asset Information Management System). - Plan and perform Preventive Maintenance activities as per the monthly planner. - Maintain temperature and relative humidity (RH) in the manufacturing area as per process requirements. - Ensure all maintenance activities comply with GXP (Good Manufacturing Practices & Good Engineering Practices). - Qualification & Compliance - Perform HVAC system qualifications, including temperature monitoring, PRQ & RQ (Performance & Requalification), HEPA Filter Integrity Test, and Air Flow Visualization Test. - Perform qualification of Compressed Air System (RQ & PRQ) as per ISO 8573 Class-3. - Prepare and maintain qualification documents such as URS, FAT, DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ, PRQ, RQ. - Handle CCF (Change Control Form), CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Action), NOI (Notice of Intent), Deviations, and SOPs. - Utility Operations & Maintenance - Manage the operation and maintenance of Steam Boilers, Screw Chillers, Nitrogen Plant, Air Compressors, Brine Chillers, Cooling Towers, HVAC Systems, Desiccant & Refrigerant Air Dryers, Pumps, Gearboxes, Blowers, Root Blowers, AHU & AWD. In order to excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills: - Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent. - Experience: 5-10 years in utility management in a pharma API manufacturing plant.
