Assistant Manager - US Payroll

As a Compliance & Regulatory Oversight professional at Exela, your primary responsibility will be to ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local tax regulations, wage laws, and benefits programs. You will play a crucial role in maintaining proper documentation and filing for all audits, reporting, and compliance purposes. In addition, you will be involved in Transition Management & Support by supporting the knowledge transfer process, providing necessary training, and acting as a point of contact for the India team for escalated issues or queries. Your role will also include preparing reports related to employee wages, benefits, deductions, tax withholdings, and retirement contributions for audit and financial purposes. As part of your responsibilities, you will be expected to address Employee Queries & Support promptly and effectively. You will also play a key role in Process Improvement by assisting in implementing automation or system enhancements to reduce manual work and improve accuracy. To excel in this role, you should possess strong Attention to Detail, Compliance & Regulatory Knowledge, Technology Proficiency, Communication & Interpersonal Skills, Organizational & Time Management Skills, Analytical & Reporting Skills, Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking abilities, as well as Adaptability & Flexibility.
