Assistant Manager SOX

The role of Governance Finance Governance Support is crucial in ensuring IHG's compliance with SOX requirements and other audit-related activities. You will be responsible for providing full support to the Governance Finance Governance function, which includes audit planning, internal audit management, statutory and internal audit management, as well as compliance with CSA. Your role will involve extensive interaction with regional/hotel, BSC, and IT management, along with external auditors. Additionally, you may be required to participate in ad-hoc activities within the Controller Group. Your key accountabilities will include assisting in audit management functions across India BSC and Managed Hotels, reviewing CSA/SOX documents to ensure compliance, conducting end-to-end SOX/CSA testing of controls, documenting results and conclusions, and performing reconciliations reviews for IHG owned and Managed BUs. You will also be involved in maintaining an effective understanding of the business strategy and the hospitality industry, identifying potential risks and proposing plans for review, and partnering with Hotels to implement the e-CSA tool. To excel in this role, you should possess subject matter expertise in Finance/Procurement Systems, proficiency in Microsoft Office products, knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and practices, and experience in leading process change. Effective verbal and written communication skills, working knowledge of audit & control processes, and experience in interacting with Hotels are also essential. Ideally, you should have 4-5 plus years of progressive work experience in hotel and/or corporate accounting, internal audit, Sarbanes Oxley, and proficiency in multiple disciplines/processes related to the position. A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field of work or equivalent experience is required, along with experience in technology automation initiatives. A major accounting qualification such as ACA, CIMA, CPA, CMA, or CHAE is preferred.
