Assistant Manager, Project Accounting

The opportunity:

Assistant Manager, Project Accounting

• Prepare and submit accurate draft and final invoices for billable projects, ensuring proper documentation and timely approvals.
• Liaise with Project Managers and Account Managers on contract terms, change orders, and billing modifications.
• Identify unbilled items and pursue billing opportunities to optimize revenue.
• Review, validate, and process project-related expenses, ensuring timely client billing with appropriate backup.
• Maintain organized billing records and documentation in accordance with standard procedures.
• Drive process improvements to enhance invoicing efficiency and ensure timely delivery to client points of contact.
• Independently manage large accounts and handle complex client queries beyond standard support scope.

• 5 years of experience with minimum 3 years in project accounting, with a focus on global clients, particularly in the US, UK, and EU.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in MS Excel experience with tools such as Salesforce, Oracle Fusion, and SharePoint is a plus.
• Strong understanding of core financial and banking processes.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial details to non-finance stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management skills capable of working cross-functionally and resolving issues independently.
