Note: Candidate should have the on-paper experience as a Team Leading, Handling & Management.

Purpose of Role:

• To complete all retained derivative operations activities (covering Derivatives Trade Processing (ETD, OTC Bilateral & Cleared & Securities Lending)) in line with internal and external market deadlines, policies, procedures and controls.

• Proactively partner with outsource provider to ensure delivery of operational service targets including MI & KPI checks/reviews.

Background:

The primary function of the Derivative Operations function is to ensure all retained services (incl. Derivative Trade Processing and Securities Lending) and outsourced activities is effective managed and processed accordance with market deadlines and industry best practise, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Completion of daily derivative operations retained services / tasks (Trade Processing and Securities Lending) are managed effectively and are in line with market and regulatory deadlines. Proactively working with LGIM stakeholders, Outsource Provider, and 3rd Parties (Brokers, Custodians, Fund Accountants, Vendors) to ensure all asset services activities are managed.

• Work in partnership and collaboration with team members and outsourced provider to ensure daily tasks are completed in line with agreed service standards and deadlines (incl. accuracy, timeliness, and client service measures).

• Assist the outsource provider with agreed retained services delivery for the respective service area.

• Monitor the daily & weekly service delivery KPI / KRIs and escalate issues accordingly.

• Proactive ownership and investigation of queries/issues that may arise, escalating and reporting any inconsistences to supervisor or manager in a timely manner.

• Proactively identify control weaknesses relating to derivative operations services operating model and recommend and implement procedural and process change in partnership with team members, manager, and outsourced provider where applicable.

• Ensure end to end understanding of all operational tasks and how they relate and impact all processes. Ensure standard ways of working are applied consistently.

• To create procedures that reflect processes polices and any workflows that are needed to support the asset services process and activities for retained and outsourced services.

• Manage operational risk and issues within team and outsourced provider, regularly review and identify further opportunities for risk mitigation; ensure all functional procedures are in line with policies and regulatory requirements. Promptly and clearly articulate and inform senior management and stakeholders.

• Engage secondary service recipients (Client Service, Investments, and other Operational Teams) to ensure the service delivery is achieving standards for today and future business levels.

• Identify continuous improvement opportunities to drive the development of the outsource model (focus on enhancing control effectiveness and efficiency).

• Participate in weekly service provider updates which focuses on service fulfilment and escalated issues.

• Form strategic partnerships with service providers/vendors, leveraging network. Actively participate and represent LGIM at working parities/forums. Clearly articulate and share market information internally to appropriate stakeholders.

• Flexible in approach to provide assistance to the wider team and department to support processes and service deliverables globally.
