Role Overview:

The Assistant/Deputy Manager – Quality will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality systems across the WTG manufacturing process. This role ensures that all products meet internal and external quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The candidate will lead audits, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance & Control:

    • Develop and implement quality control systems and standards.
    • Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
    • Conduct inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods.
  • Audit & Compliance:

    • Lead internal and external audits (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, etc.).
    • Ensure adherence to QMS and regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain documentation of quality control activities and procedural changes.
  • Team Leadership & Training:

    • Supervise and mentor quality analysts and inspectors.
    • Conduct training sessions on quality standards and best practices.
    • Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Problem Solving & RCA:

    • Investigate quality issues and customer complaints.
    • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
    • Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve issues.
  • Reporting & Analysis:

    • Analyze quality performance data to identify trends and improvement areas.
    • Prepare and present quality reports to senior management.
    • Support strategic initiatives to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Quality Management, or related field. Certifications in Six Sigma, ISO standards, or CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) preferred.
  • Experience:

    4 to 12 years in quality assurance/control roles in a manufacturing setup, preferably in renewable energy or heavy engineering.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in QMS, SPC, RCA, and auditing tools.
    • Familiarity with ERP systems and MS Office.
    • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other relevant standards.
  • Soft Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Effective communication and leadership skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Preferred Background:

  • Experience in WTG or similar large-scale manufacturing environments.
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with supplier quality and customer complaint resolution.
