Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented **Assistant Lawyer** to join our team. This entry-level role is ideal for a recent law graduate or junior attorney with 2-4 years of experience. The Assistant Lawyer will support senior attorneys in case preparation, legal research, document drafting, and client communication while gaining hands-on experience across [specific practice areas, e.g., corporate transactions, civil litigation, family law, intellectual property].

## Key Responsibilities

- Conduct thorough **legal research** using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other databases; summarize findings in memos and reports.

- Draft and review **legal documents**, including pleadings, motions, contracts, briefs, discovery requests, and correspondence.

- Assist in **case management**: organize files, track deadlines, prepare exhibits, and coordinate with courts and opposing counsel.

- Attend **client meetings**, depositions, hearings, and trials; take detailed notes and follow up on action items.

- Communicate with clients via email/phone to gather information, provide updates, and manage expectations under attorney supervision.

- Support **due diligence** processes for transactions or litigation.

- Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.

- Perform administrative tasks (e.g., billing entries, expense tracking) as needed.

Experience
