Assistant Engineer

As an Assistant Engineer in the UK GCC Highway team based in Noida/Bengaluru, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of highway schemes. Working alongside the lead design engineer or work package manager, you will play a proactive role in developing design solutions in compliance with relevant standards. Your responsibilities will involve participating in the design process across multiple projects, utilizing AutoCAD and other design software to create and refine designs and drawings. It is essential that you adhere to Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment. Key Competencies / Skills: Mandatory Skills: - Demonstrated proficiency in relevant design standards and software such as Civil 3D, Open Roads, MX, PDS/Key Line, Sign, AutoCAD, and ProjectWise. - Ability to effectively use standard office software. - Confidence to seek clarification on instructions and work scope. - Strong communication skills to liaise with the UK project team for successful project delivery. - Quick adaptability to new concepts and problem-solving skills. Desired Skills: - Familiarity with the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCDHW). - Capability to assist in producing technical specifications and reports. Qualifications: - A bachelor's or post-graduate degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. - 2-4 years of post-graduate experience in highway design. - Working towards obtaining a recognized professional qualification.,
