Assistant Consultant Aquatic Ecology

As an Assistant Consultant in Aquatic Ecology at WSP, you will be part of the dynamic UK Nature Services team, contributing to the assessment, management, and restoration of aquatic habitats. Your role will involve: - Designing field surveys related to aquatic ecology, such as water quality assessment, habitat evaluation, and biodiversity monitoring. - Supporting the evaluation and analysis of collected data, and preparing reports and presentations for stakeholders. - Collaborating with senior consultants on projects involving freshwater and marine ecosystems, including restoration initiatives and conservation planning. - Conducting literature reviews to stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in aquatic ecology. - Assisting in the preparation of technical proposals and maintaining accurate project records. To qualify for this role, you should have: - A Master's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, or a related field. - Experience in aquatic ecology, including knowledge of sampling techniques, data analysis, and species identification. - Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., R, GIS) and Microsoft Office Suite. - Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex information. - Self-motivation, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.,
