Assistant Chief Engineer (Electrical-Solar)

Assistant Chief Engineer Electrical (Solar) is responsible for leading electrical
engineering activities, reviewing and approving engineering calculations andtechnical documents, identifying technical gaps, and acting as the primaryinterface with clients and EPC contractors. The role ensures overall technicalintegrity, compliance with applicable standards, and risk mitigation across solarand Renewable power projects.Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, in Renewable energy (preferably Solar) and Power projectsEngineering Leadership & Review: ? Lead preparation of electrical design packages for renewable and powerprojects including, Solar, Wind and BESS along with Power evacuationsystems and substation interface.? Review and approve electrical system calculations, engineering notes,and technical philosophies prepared by the engineering team.? Validate system sizing, equipment selection, and electricalconfigurations for technical adequacy and optimization.? Engineering electrical systems for MV/HV systems (11kV - 400kV)including, Inverter, transformer, switchgear.Technical Compliance: ? Identify design gaps, risks, and constructability issues and proposemitigation measures.? Review project requirements, specifications, and design concepts toensure compliance.? Ensure compliance with IEC / IS / IEEE standards, CEA regulations, gridcodes, and client specifications.? Prepare and review of Electrical technical specifications, BOQs andsupport technical bid evaluations.Collaboration and Support: ? Act as lead electrical technical interface with clients, lenders, EPCcontractors, utilities, and OEMs.? Respond to client queries, technical clarifications, and deviations.? Work as Lead engineer, project manager, and guide other teammembers to resolve design issues and implement solutions.? Provide technical information and ideas to support the engineeringteamDocumentation and Record Keeping: ? Maintain quality and completeness of electrical design submissions.? Timely closure of design review comments.? Effective mentoring of Discipline engineers.Quality Assurance:? Check technical drafts for accuracy in calculations, measurements, andunits.? Perform quality checks on drawings for function, fit, and submission.RequirementsStrong expertise in solar PV electrical systems, HT/LT systems, and grid
