Role Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive PSS Lead to oversee the electrical operations, maintenance, and commissioning activities of Pooling Substations (PSS). The PSS Lead will be responsible for managing the team, coordinating all activities related to PSS, ensuring safety compliance, timely project execution, and efficient power evacuation through pooling substations. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all electrical operations and maintenance activities at Pooling Substations (PSS). Supervise and mentor engineers and technicians working on PSS projects and operations. Coordinate inspection, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment including switchgear, transformers, protection relays, and control systems at PSS. Ensure strict compliance with safety, statutory, and regulatory standards during all PSS activities. Oversee material procurement, tracking of Purchase Requisitions (PR), Purchase Orders (PO), and invoice processing related to PSS. Liaise with vendors, contractors, STUs, and internal teams to ensure smooth commissioning and operational continuity. Develop and implement maintenance strategies and best practices for reliable operation of pooling substations. Monitor equipment performance, analyze faults, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Prepare and present detailed reports, project updates, and compliance documentation to senior management. Manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively to meet project objectives. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. Minimum 7-10 years of experience in electrical operations, maintenance, and commissioning of substations, preferably Pooling Substations (PSS) or EHV substations. Proven leadership experience managing teams in power transmission or substation projects. In-depth knowledge of electrical switchgear, transformers, protection systems, and substation automation. Strong understanding of procurement processes including PR, PO, and invoice management. Comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations, quality standards, and statutory compliance in power sector. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities under tight deadlines. Preferred Skills: Experience with Substation Automation Systems (SAS) and SCADA integration. Familiarity with Electrical Maintenance Management Systems (EMMS) and ERP tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Exposure to renewable energy power evacuation projects is a plus.

Electrical equipment knowledge for the Generator, Busducts, GCB, Transformers, MV&LV switchgear, DC&UPS system, VFD, Motors, Cable system. Preferred candidate profile: Thermal & Combined cycle Power plant, Oil and Gas. Tools: DIALUX, ACAD, SKM, ETAP, EPLAN, SP3D, E3D

Key Responsibilities & Skills Technical Skills: Lead purchase of Capital Equipment like Power Transformers, HT Breaker Panels, CRP panels, SCADA, Cables, CT/PT, Meters, Transmission line related material and BOS Components (Earthing material, Lightning Protection, site facilities material, etc.) required for substation, Bay and TL. Award contracts for Power Evacuation works such as substation, Bay, Transmission line, Substation works. Use Supply Chain process efficiently to target cost savings within allocated budget while maintaining quality. New Vendor Development for all components and vendor rating evaluation for IMS compliance. Support Marketing & Bidding team with price & technical updates. Manage timely deliveries in coordination with Projects, Marketing & Design requirements. Maintain records of invoicing, inspection reports, warranty documents; coordinate with Legal, Commercial, Finance & Accounts for BG, LC, and payment processes. Coordinate for inspection of material & dispatch. Liaisoning management. Evaluate cost of contracts and prepare budget for complete work scope. Coordinate with internal departments for procurement of quality & quantity material. Inventory management with cost control & reduction. Commodity tracking, awareness of Incoterms, international transactions and financing. Verify documents related to contract and purchase (ST, VAT, CST, Excise Duty, Royalties, LBT, GST, etc.). Understand Project execution cycle to set purchasing priorities. Leadership Skills: Good coordination and teamwork with Purchase as well as other departments. Demonstrate self-learning and commercial skills. Set high ethical standards while dealing with vendors and contractors. Please Note - Candidates from the solar industry will be given preference.

Experience: 5+ years in design and execution of utility-scale solar projects Your Role: Design + Execution Lead As a Solar Engineer at KNY Power, you will take ownership of both the design and on-ground implementation of solar power plants, including: Design & Engineering Design utility-scale solar PV plants (ground-mounted) for optimal generation and cost-efficiency. Develop site layouts, SLDs, and complete electrical design using AutoCAD and related tools. Run performance simulations and yield assessments using PVSyst, Helioscope (optional), and similar software. Prepare BOQs, design reports, and support bid documentation. Project Execution & Support Coordinate closely with EPC contractors to ensure design adherence and execution quality. Conduct regular site visits for layout validation, construction supervision, and design alignment with real-time conditions. Assist in procurement by evaluating technical specifications of equipment. Ensure compliance with grid codes, DISCOM/statuary requirements, and technical standards. Who You Are Experience: Minimum 57 years in utility-scale solar plant design and execution. Technical Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, PVSyst, MS Office; knowledge of Helioscope, PV*Sol, ETAP, or similar is a plus. Knowledge Base: Strong understanding of solar PV system design, power evacuation, electrical systems (HT/LT), and industry norms. Execution-Ready: Hands-on exposure to on-site engineering challenges, installation practices, and QA/QC processes. Agile & Collaborative: Comfortable working in a startup environment and liaising with cross-functional teams.
