Assistant Accounts

As an Assistant Accountant, your role is crucial in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the finance department. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain and update ledgers, journals, and financial records, both digital and physical. - Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements with the general ledger to identify and resolve discrepancies. - Process and verify vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper authorization. - Prepare and issue invoices to customers and clients. Qualifications and Skills: - Education: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field is often preferred. Relevant certifications or a Diploma in Accounting can also be advantageous. - Experience: Proven experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role is typically required. - Technical Skills: Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, Xero). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to use pivot tables, formulas, and other data analysis tools. In addition to the above requirements, the company prefers candidates with at least 2 years of experience in accounting and a Bachelor's degree.
