Job Description

As an Account Assistant, your role will involve maintaining and updating financial records for the society. Your key responsibilities will include: - Performing regular bank reconciliation to ensure accuracy between bank statements and financial records. - Assisting in preparing and posting journal entries for various transactions. - Supporting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. - Ensuring compliance with internal controls and relevant legal regulations. - Issuing financial statements to members, including loan and savings account balances. - Assisting with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation. - Helping with inventory management if applicable. - Ensuring accurate and timely data entry of financial transactions. - Supporting the accounts team with budgeting, tax filing, and other financial tasks as required. Qualifications required for this role: - Proven experience in financial record keeping. - Familiarity with accounting principles and practices. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. - Good communication skills to work effectively with team members and auditors.
