Assay Biologist

As an Assay Biologist at Sai Life Sciences, your role will involve a focus on biochemical and cell-based assays to support various in vitro studies. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Executing assay optimization, validation, and compound screening in biochemical and cell-based assays. - Conducting hands-on tasks for cell-based assays such as media preparation, cell culture, cell cryopreservation, compound dilutions, and the operation of multimode microplate readers. - Demonstrating an understanding of cell-free (biochemical) assays including enzyme kinetics, assay optimization parameters, and different assay technologies for kinase assays. - Analyzing and interpreting data obtained from assay studies and recording experimental data accurately in prescribed formats. - Operating instruments efficiently to ensure accurate and reproducible data collection. - Utilizing analysis software such as GraphPad Prism for data handling. - Demonstrating familiarity with current assay techniques and assays including HTRF, AlphaLISA, Luminescence, Fluorescence, and Absorbance assays. - Managing compound procedures, including indenting processes, receiving, and maintaining stocks of reagents and consumables. - Adhering to company policies and rules to ensure compliance. Qualifications and Experience: - M.Sc/M.Tech/M.Pharm with 2-3 years of relevant industry experience. Key Competencies: Technical: - Proficiency in using multi-channel pipettes, multimode plate readers, Western blot apparatus, centrifuge operation, and ELISA techniques. Functional: - Basic knowledge of biochemical and cell-based assays. Behavioural: - Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams. - Strong analytical skills and the capacity to work under tight timelines. - Excellent communication skills to facilitate collaboration within the team.
