Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with strong expertise in sheet metal manufacturing, metal fabrication, and welding using SolidWorks . The ideal candidate will be proficient in creating detailed engineering drawings in accordance with international standards (ASME Y14.5), with a focus on standardization and automation in design processes. Key Responsibilities: Create and modify SolidWorks 3D models , assemblies, and detailed drawings, with a focus on sheet metal , routing , and piping . Interpret and apply ASME Y14.5 standards and GD&T practices in all technical drawings. Apply a deep understanding of welding symbols , fabrication methods , and heavy metal engineering principles. Ensure design quality and manufacturability through knowledge of metal fabrication processes and manufacturing constraints . Identify and utilize standard components and materials relevant to the sheet metal and fabrication industry. Understand and interpret client requirements and provide design solutions that align with manufacturing capabilities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively via verbal and written communication , including emails and documentation. Contribute to the standardization and automation of design processes for improved efficiency and accuracy. Required Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience in SolidWorks , specifically in sheet metal , assembly , routing , and piping modules . Strong understanding of GD&T , engineering drawing standards , and fabrication symbols . In-depth knowledge of sheet metal design , metal fabrication processes , and manufacturing standards . Familiarity with standard materials and components used in metal fabrication. Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly.

BOM Creation & Documentation : Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), technical documents, and reports. Qualifications & Skills: Education : Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering , Automobile Engineering , or related fields. Experience : 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design using Creo Parametric . Technical Skills : Strong expertise in 3D modeling, 2D drafting, and detailing . Hands-on experience with Sheet Metal, Plastics, Casting, and Machined Parts . Good understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) . Knowledge of Windchill PLM is a plus.
