Role Overview We are seeking an experienced SaaS AI Architect to lead the architectural modernization of our core platform, transition monolithic components into microservices, and design AI-ready backend systems. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Python development, a product-oriented mindset, and the ability to collaborate across functional teams to deliver enterprise-grade software. Key Responsibilities Lead the transition from legacy PHP monoliths to scalable Python-based microservices. Design and implement API-first, modular, and cloud-native backend components. Build backend engines to support schema-driven UI, dynamic workflows, and metadata-based configurations. Drive configurability and extensibility for low-code/no-code development needs. Integrate AI/ML APIs including OCR, NLP, recommendation engines, and LLMs such as OpenAI. Ensure AI services are modular, efficient, and scalable for production use. Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, Docker containers, and Git-based workflows. Optimize backend performance, system reliability, and scalability across environments. Work closely with Product Managers, QA teams, UI/UX designers, and global delivery teams to ensure timely and high-quality releases. Contribute to technical documentation and mentoring of engineering teams. Must-Have Skills and Experience 5 to 8 years of backend engineering experience, with a strong focus on Python (FastAPI or Django). Expertise in microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, Docker, and Git. Experience in modernizing legacy PHP systems to Python. Practical exposure to AI/ML APIs (OCR, NLP, LLMs) and their integration into backend systems. Experience in building metadata-driven or configurable engines (e.g., dynamic forms, workflow builders). Strong understanding of API security, authentication, rate limiting, and secure data handling. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience working with Higher Education systems such as SIS, LMS, or accreditation tools. Familiarity with low-code/no-code platforms (e.g., n8n, Camunda). Experience working in fast-paced SaaS environments with Agile methodologies. Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, GraphQL, and event-driven architectures. Why Join Anubavam Technologies!
