Job description Role Overview: The Area Sales Manager - Bancassurance is responsible for driving business growth through bank partner channels within a designated cluster. The role involves managing relationships with bank branches, leading a team of sales professionals, ensuring sales targets are met, and enhancing customer experience in bancassurance. Key Responsibilities: Sales & Business Development: Drive Health insurance sales through assigned bank branches in the cluster. Achieve revenue, premium collection, and policy issuance targets. Develop and implement strategies to increase penetration of insurance products. Identify new business opportunities within the banking ecosystem. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with branch heads, bank relationship managers (RMs), and key stakeholders. Ensure seamless coordination between the bank and the insurance company. Conduct regular meetings and reviews with bank teams to improve engagement. Team Leadership & Training: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Relationship Managers (RMs). Provide training and development on insurance products, compliance, and best sales practices. Conduct joint calls with bank staff to support sales efforts. Customer Engagement & Retention: Promote customer-centric solutions and drive high service standards. Work on strategies to improve policy persistency and customer retention. Key Requirements: Educational & Experience Requirements: Bachelors degree (MBA preferred). 5+ years of experience in Bancassurance, Insurance Sales, or Financial Services. Prior experience in managing banking partners is an advantage. Skills & Competencies: Strong sales and negotiation skills. Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement abilities. Leadership and team management experience. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of insurance products, compliance, and regulatory guidelines.
