Area Manager - Cost Management (Pre-Contracts)

• Preparation of detailed cost plans at various design stages, including Concept, Schematic, Detailed design and Issue for construction.
• Development of cost plans adhering to diverse standards such as NRM, POMI, IS, Uniformat, and CESSM.
• Preparation of Bills of Quantities in accordance with established standards, including POMI, NRM, and IS.
• Execution of quantity take-offs for Civil and MEP packages, adhering to standards such as NRM, POMI, and IS.
• Analysis of design data, validation of designs for quantity take-off purposes, and generation of reports regarding design discrepancies.
• Coordination and interpretation among Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical work packages.
• Collaboration with clients and designers to gather necessary information and ensure alignment on project objectives.
• Implementation of QA/QC processes to ensure task completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Construction, Engineering, or a related field Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum 15+years experience in cost management or construction projects (e.g. cost manager, construction manager, procurement, project manager, vendor, consultant etc.).
• Strong communication and leadership skills with experience in people management
• Strong business acumen, with the ability to drive outcomes on behalf of clients, develop new business, leverage current opportunities, and coordinate with construction and design teams to meet deadlines and deliverables
• Experience in client management with solid experience in client facing environment that requires incumbent to utilise critical business development skills and advisory skills to enhance project delivery on value management, value engineering, and life cycle costing.
• Native-level proficiency in (local language), Business-level proficiency in English
