Architectural Draughtsman

Job Purpose

To prepare accurate architectural drawings and handle all corporation-related drawings and submissions required for building approvals and construction execution.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Architectural Drawings

• Prepare

  concept, working, and detailed drawings

  as per project requirements.
• Develop

  plans, sections, elevations

  , and schedules as guided by the architect.
• Prepare

  working drawings

  for site execution (layout, dimensions, levels).
• Modify and revise drawings based on

  client, site, or authority comments

  .

2. Corporation / Authority Drawings

• Prepare drawings required for

  municipal / corporation approval

  (AMC / RMC / local authority).
• Ensure drawings comply with

  GDCR, local bylaws, and regulations

  .
• Prepare

  setback, FSI, parking, and area calculation drawings

  .
• Coordinate with consultants (structural, plumbing, fire, etc.) when required.
  

3. Coordination & Site Support

• Coordinate with

  site engineers, contractors, and consultants

  for drawing clarity.
• Provide

  drawing clarifications

  during construction stages
• Visit site when required to verify drawing implementation.

4. Documentation & Records

• Maintain

  organized records

  of drawings (soft & hard copies).
• Keep track of

  revision numbers and approval stages

  .
• Assist in preparing

  submission sets, PDFs, and print-ready drawings

  .

5. Software & Tools

• Work primarily on

  AutoCAD

  (2D drawings).
• Basic knowledge of

  Excel

  for area statements and calculations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Good understanding of

  municipal rules and drawing standards

  .
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
