Junior Architect

Key Responsibilities:

• Layout and Design Development:

  Assist in creating and refining

  layout plans

  for residential, commercial, and other projects, ensuring designs are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and meet client requirements.

• Working Drawings:

  Produce a full set of

  working drawings

  and construction documents, including detailed floor plans, sections, elevations, and architectural details for on-site execution.

• Approval Drawings & Compliance:

  Prepare and compile all necessary

  approval drawings

  for submission to local authorities such as the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA) and other relevant bodies. Ensure all drawings comply with local building codes, bylaws, and regulations.

• Technical Support:

  Collaborate with senior architects, engineers, and other consultants to integrate their inputs into architectural drawings.

• Site Coordination:

  Assist in site visits and coordination to ensure that construction aligns with the approved drawings and specifications.

• Software Proficiency:

  Utilize software like

  AutoCAD

  and

  SketchUp

  to create and modify drawings and 3D models efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B.Arch.) from a recognized institution.
• 1-3 years of professional experience in an architectural firm.
• Proficiency in

  AutoCAD

  is essential; knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, or other rendering software is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of

  building codes and regulations in Chennai and Tamil Nadu

  is a must.
• Excellent drafting, design, and visualization skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team, manage time efficiently, and handle multiple tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
