Role & responsibilities

1. Project Leadership & Management

• Lead the

  design and delivery

  of architectural projects from concept to completion.
• Manage

  project timelines

  , resources, and budgets.
• Coordinate with consultants (MEP, structural, civil, etc.), contractors, and stakeholders.
  
• Ensure projects comply with

  zoning laws, building codes

  , and accessibility standards.
• Oversee

  construction administration

  and site inspections.

2. Design Oversight & Innovation

• Develop and guide

  conceptual and schematic design

  with a strong creative vision.
• Ensure designs are functional, sustainable, cost-effective, and client-aligned.
  
• Review and approve detailed drawings, models, and specifications.
  
• Maintain high design quality throughout the project lifecycle.
  

3. Client Interaction & Business Development

• Act as a

  primary contact

  for clients; manage relationships and expectations.
• Participate in client presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations.
  
• Support or lead

  business development

  efforts (RFP responses, networking, etc.).
• Help secure repeat business through strong service and project outcomes.
  

4. Team Leadership & Mentoring

• Supervise and mentor

  junior architects

  , interns, and project staff.
• Delegate tasks, conduct performance reviews, and offer technical/design guidance.
  
• Foster a collaborative, productive studio environment.
  

5. Technical Oversight

• Review construction documents for accuracy and completeness.
  
• Oversee coordination of

  BIM models

  , clash detection, and technical detailing.
• Ensure adherence to QA/QC processes and firm standards.
  

6. Sustainability & Innovation (Optional Based on Role)

• Incorporate

  sustainable design

  principles and ensure compliance with LEED/BREEAM or local equivalents.
• Evaluate and implement new design technologies, software, or methodologies.
