Job Title: Architect

Job Summary:

The Senior Architect is responsible for leading the design and development of commercial building projects. This includes overseeing all aspects of the architectural process, from conceptual design through construction administration. The Senior Architect serves as the primary point of contact with clients and provides high-level oversight and direction to the project team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the design and development of commercial building projects, including office buildings, retail spaces, mixed-use developments, etc.

- Conduct site analyses, programming, and conceptual design to develop the project vision and initial design concepts.

- Manage the production of construction drawings, specifications, and other technical documentation.

- Oversee the permitting and regulatory approval process, coordinating with local authorities as needed.

- Provide strategic direction and guidance to the project team, including architects, engineers, and consultants.

- Serve as the primary client contact, managing client relationships and addressing design questions/concerns.

- Ensure projects adhere to budgets, schedules, and quality standards.

- Mentor and develop junior architects on the team.

- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, building codes, and regulations.

- Contribute to the firm's overall design vision and business development efforts.

Qualifications:

- Professional degree in architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from an accredited program.

- Registered architect license in the applicable state(s).

- 5+ years of experience in commercial architecture, with a successful track record of leading complex projects.

- Strong design capabilities and technical knowledge of building systems, materials, and construction methods.

- Excellent project management, communication, and client relationship skills.

- Proficient in architectural software (CAD, BIM, etc.) and visualization tools.

- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.

- Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, and business development skills.
